Affiliate Disclosure
Korean Beauty Report earns affiliate commissions. This page explains exactly what that means, in plain language, in line with the US Federal Trade Commission's guidance on disclosing material connections.
The short version
When you click a product link on this site and buy something, the seller pays us a percentage of that sale. You pay the same price you would have paid without us. The commission comes out of the seller's margin, not out of your pocket.
What that does not change
- Which products we name. We apply the same label checks to everything, and products fail them regularly, including products that pay commission.
- What we say about them. Where a claim does not survive the ingredient panel, we report that, commission or not.
- The price you pay. Never. An affiliate link is a tracking link, not a pricing mechanism.
Which links are affiliate links
Every outbound product link on this site is an affiliate link, and they are marked as sponsored in the page code. Links between pages of this site are ordinary internal links and earn nothing.
Why we tell you this
Because a financial relationship between a publisher and a seller is exactly the kind of thing a reader is entitled to know before weighing a recommendation. The FTC requires it to be disclosed clearly, and we would rather state it plainly than bury it.
How we evaluate products, and what we refuse to publish, is set out on our method page.
